Euclid’s Parallel Postulate gets a new treatment in this abstract expressionist painting. Color field theory and gestural painting meets geometric theory and the beauty of paint marries the beauty of math.
This is a favorite of mine. It isn’t really in the style I invented, but rather something between DeKooning and Basquiat, I suppose. I have to tell you that my gallery doesn’t like this kind of work. Silly gallery owners. At shows, this work is popular but my gallery representatives just can’t see it. Oh well.
