Abstract – work in progress

Another in my series for upcoming shows, this painting continues the theme of directed chaos.

This painting, along with the others in this series, hearkens back to my work ‘Window Panes With Bicycle’ in the use of frames within the painting. The work here, however, is much more free-form and in the realm of stream-of-consciousness painting, thus the style is more loose and playful.

New Abstract Expressionist Painting

Part of the large format series I’m working on for an upcoming show, this action painting is as yet untitled:

More of this series is coming soon….

My intent is to perform several free-form stream of consciousness experiments to see what messages the paint and canvas may care to convey. It’s much more complicated than it sounds and some people fail to see the complexity that actually exists in the results, but that can’t be helped. I will keep working on it.
