Beautiful Ocean Sunset Painting, Cape Kiwanda
A line of clouds, a red sunset, and Oregons bigger Haystack Rock. What more could you ask for?
Sunset At Cape Kiwanda, Oregon
24″ x 30″
acrylic on hardboard
Part of the collection I’ve put together for an upcoming show. It will be nicely framed by then.
Originally, I had planned to put more into the painting, but sometimes less is more….
Abstract – work in progress
Another in my series for upcoming shows, this painting continues the theme of directed chaos.

This painting, along with the others in this series, hearkens back to my work ‘Window Panes With Bicycle’ in the use of frames within the painting. The work here, however, is much more free-form and in the realm of stream-of-consciousness painting, thus the style is more loose and playful.

New Abstract Expressionist Painting
Part of the large format series I’m working on for an upcoming show, this action painting is as yet untitled:

More of this series is coming soon….
My intent is to perform several free-form stream of consciousness experiments to see what messages the paint and canvas may care to convey. It’s much more complicated than it sounds and some people fail to see the complexity that actually exists in the results, but that can’t be helped. I will keep working on it.
