Old Homestead Watercolor
I revisited this painting a while back; I just like the starkness of it all, in a watercolor format. I think about the people who once called this place ‘home.’
In private collection.
Couple and Dog on Beach in Blue

A couple walk hand-in-hand along the beach, their dog leading the way. Art styling using tungsten temperature white balance for effect.
Posing For Picture In Driftwood

A popular activity while visiting the coast – to remember the trip, immortalizing oneself or one’s spouse/bf/gf etc. An attempt to be remembered by a world that has no memory.
Original photograph taken November 22, 2009, part of the Rural Street Photography project – Duotone for effect by Pagani.
Impressionist Pastel Painting Oregon Nestucca River
A piece of realism just completed. In general, I update my impressionist works at oregonpainter.tv but I like to keep my general blog readers abreast of my efforts, too!
This pastel painting is 11×15 – the framed size is 16×20. You can also find an earlier, smaller version of this work at oregonpainter.tv along with some of my other impressionist paintings. The photo of this painting does NOT do it justice.
(All works on paper)
UPDATE: This painting was one of two entered in the local county-wide art exhibit. They both won FIRST PLACE in their categories (Portraits on Paper, Landscapes on Paper). This painting also won “Best In Class” for all works on paper.
UPDATE 2: Nestucca Pastel is now owned and proudly displayed by the Riverhouse Restaurant in Pacific City, Oregon. You might enjoy dropping by there to see it.
