Rainbow with Flooded fields, a photography-based abstract envisioned on 30×30 gallery wrapped canvas. From the happenstance of a great flood in this area and its aftermath, the recorded image was completely repainted in Corel Painter to achieve this effect.I was never completely satisfied with this work but it has its own interesting points: The rainbow was the brightest object in a mist-dimmed sky so in this reduced palette it now commands special attention. The flooded fields reflect the images of the surviving landscape and in a way stand as a better piece without the rainbow.Nevertheless, the rainbow demands to be seen and heard.
